Sassafras
Poison Ivy -- This is the one item I am going to track over the semester to see how it changes. I will be taking pictures of it every time I visit the field study spot.

Air Temperature = 61 degrees F
It was sunny and clear with just a few clouds. The spot is in the woods and not much sunlight reaches the ground right now because of all the leaves. There is water running in the creek through the big tiles but it is only about 5-10 inches deep in the deepest spots. There were no easily observed water creatures other than a water skeeter. There is also a bit of moss on the rocks along the edges of the water. The plants all look very green. Only one bird was seen today but it was too far away to identify.
